This is a book annotation. We must find a book on immigration and skim through it to get a sense of topics it covers, key arguments, some sources the author relies on to support the argument. The book is non-fiction and explores the crisis revolving around citizenship and immigration in the United States. The author asserts that citizenship entitles people to a raft of privileges that non-citizens cannot access. As such, he underscores the need to preserve that sovereignty by protecting the integrity of the country’s borders. However, this ideal situation has come under threat from several progressive scholars who have proposed abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement. In this regard, the book highlights the consequences of adopting such a proposal.
