I loved the short story Love Is the Plan the Plan Is Death by James Tiptree Jr. I found it interesting and quite educative. The author does a great job in keeping the reader glued to the story by vividly narrating Moggadeet’s experiences as he tries to fight “the Plan.” I felt connected to Moggadeet’s struggles primarily because he tries to remain aware and chase enlightenment in an environment that follows the Plan. I was really rooting for him to break free from the Plan and be able to follow his decisions. However, as can be seen in the end, he succumbs to the Plan, but at least he passes on the message that the “winter grows” (Tiptree 31).
