0. Identifying information
* Who is the author of the paper you are reading?
Aiden Turley
* What is the title of the paper you are reading?
Whether the Mind is Limited in its Capacity for Understanding and Whether it Can Ever Realize an Absolute in the Sense of Bolzano
1. Questions about whether the author communicated effectively.
(For these questions, do NOT quote, or even paraphrase, anything from the paper. Do NOT even look in the paper.
* In your own words, what is the topic of the paper?
The paper argues on the power of cognition, whether it is infinite or without limitations.
* What is the claim the author is trying to prove?
The limitation is innate to human beings, leading them to crave and search for more answers to their inquisitions by exploring their cognition; it makes limitations necessary to develop a human further.
* How does the author go about arguing their point?
The author first presented information on the concept that cognition does not have limitations. Notably, the author used Bolzano’s idea that an absolute concept can be equated to an infinite concept. It is followed by information based on previous researches that counterargue Bolzano’s.
2. General questions/prompts about the paper.
* With what aspect of the paper did the author do their best work? (By “aspect,” I mean things like explaining, arguing, citing, organizing.) What makes you choose that aspect? Be as specific as possible.

Additionally, the author used the words “qualifier,” “rebuttal,” and others to indicate which one is being discussed.
* What did you find most interesting about the paper? Give a general answer, but then also be as specific as possible.
Generally, proving that there is a limitation to what an individual can do is intriguing. Specifically, the author distinguishes that limitations are subjective, and these depend on the type of activity.
* Pick a spot in the paper where the author did an outstanding job of making their point. Quote it here, and explain what was done well.
“This deviation implies a limit based on the complexity of the cognitive task, making limits emerge based on complications from envisioning increasingly many items.”
The statement proves there are limitations to many things, like an increasing quantity of items that the individual has to remember.
* Pick a different spot in the paper where the author did an outstanding job of making their point. Quote it here, and explain what was done well.
“The immediate processing power of the brain does not define the capacity for memory given the shared problems in processing information whether immediately considering items in short term memory, or later in long term memory which involves distinguishing between a greater amount of information, rather than just immediate information.”
This statement proves that cognition has its boundaries, parti...
