Overview
Recently, I attended a seminar on home infusion therapy. It sought to educate healthcare professionals regarding the current state of infusion in a home setting. The seminar targeted nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers who participate involved in home care. As a nursing student specializing in this field, the activity broadened my understanding of the unique aspects of home-based infusion care. This was instrumental in opening my eyes regarding the challenges and opportunities in home infusion therapy.

When nurses in home infusion therapy attend to patients who do not speak English as their primary language, this limits the interaction with the patient and their family members. The inability to communicate hinders effective care., denying the patients the opportunity to get the attention they require (Kwame & Petrucka, 2021). Secondly, infusion nurses tend to attend to patients who are very ill or injured. Other times, the nurses attend to critically ill cancer patients. Lastly, infusion nurses are exposed to risks like violence, musculoskeletal strain, and injury while attending to the patients at home (Markkanen, Galligan & Quinn, 2017).
Inspire: Participating in the seminar is instrumental for infusion nurses to achieve improved patient outcomes by addressing these issues. The following are some of the things the nurses could achieve by participating in scholarly activities.
* Improved patient care. Participating nurses will be inspired to implement evidence-based strategies, which will be critical in enhancing patient care. The patien...
