Write an executive summary (850-1,000 words) to present to the board, from which they will make their decision to fund your program or project. The summary should include: The purpose of the program or project. The target population or audience. The benefits of the program or project The cost or budget justification. The basis upon which the program or project will be evaluated. Share your written proposal with your manager, supervisor or other colleague in a formal leadership position within a health care organization. Request their feedback using the following questions as prompts: Do you believe the proposal would be approved if formally proposed? What are some strengths and weaknesses of the proposal? Submit the written proposal along with the "Executive Summary Feedback Form." The provision of quality health services can be optimized through the enactment and implementation of a quality improvement initiative. The implementation of Six Sigma as an instrument for quality development has taken shape in various institutions. It involves five techniques including control, improve, analyze, measure and define. It involves the identification of initial reviews and defining the scope of expectations within the system. Through the implementation of the new system, data is collected to assess the viability of the changes and the possible occurrence or errors and instances. The paper offers a proposal of implementing the Six Sigma initiative as a tool for quality improvement.
Purpose
The occurrence of an error in the medical field is inevitable. The occurrence of errors is not predictable. The quality improvement initiative in place provides an evaluation technique in which the errors are identified and eliminates either potential or known errors, problems, or failures from the system. Further, the initiative is mandated in designing a process service to curb the occurrence of errors in the field (U. S. Department of Human and Health Services, 2016). The rolling of the program is focussed on the existence and implementation of a medication system in a health facility. The target populace of the initiative is all the stakeholders within the health institution. Benefits
