thanks for your help so far once more its been helpful, alot. Unfortunately the last assignment that was done was my lowest grade so far( scored a 67). But moving on and that to the side i really need to get a A in this one to balance my semester grade so far. This assignment is due on 5th February thats Monday by 1 57AM. So hopefully ill get it way before then to have enough time to go through it and it has to go through something called safe assign which checks for plagarism and what not. But between Saturday and Sunday around 5pm will be great if i can get it by then. Once more thanks. Any more info let me know
Assignment: Application: Taking a Stand
Effective leaders have a high degree of self-awareness and know how to leverage their strengths in the workplace. Assessments are a valuable tool that professionals can use to learn more about themselves and consider how their temperament and preferences influence their interactions with others.
As you engage in this learning process, it is important to remember that everyone—regardless of temperament type or related preferences—experiences some challenges with regard to leadership. The key to success is being able to recognize and leverage your own strengths while honoring differences among your colleagues.
At some point in your leadership career, you will encounter an ethical or moral dilemma that requires you to take a stand and defend your position.
For this Assignment, you evaluate an issue and consider how you could act as a moral agent or advocate, facilitating the resolution of the issue for a positive outcome.

To prepare:
-Consider the examples of leadership demonstrated in this week's media presentation and the other
Learning Resources.
-To further your self-knowledge, you are required to complete the Kiersey Temperament as indicated
in this week's Learning Resources. Consider your leadership style, including your strengths for leading
others and include your results from Kiersey Temperament Sorter to describe potential challenges
related to your leadership style.
-Mentally survey your work environment, or one with which you are familiar, and identify a timely
issue/dilemma that requires you to perform the leadership role of moral agent or advocate to improve
a situation (e.g., speaking or acting on behalf of a vulnerable patient, the need for appropriate staffing,
a colleague being treated unfairly).
-What ethical, moral, or legal skills, dispositions, and/or strategies would help you resolve this
dilemma? Define the differences between ethical, moral, and legal leadership.
-Finally, consider the values and principles that guide the nursing profession; the organization's
mission, vision, and values; the leadership and management competencies addressed in this course;
and your own values and reasons for entering the profession. What motivation do you see for taking a
stand on an important issue even when it is difficult to do so?

Nursing practice rests squarely on particular ethical constructs that affect the way nurses and nurse leaders perform their duties. Making the right decision for nursing leaders prompts them to be highly sensitive to ethical issues (Atashzadeh et al., 2012). The failure of nurse leaders to respond effectively to ethical issues may lead to the neglect of principal nursing ethical principles and values (Borhani et al., 2014). There are integral ethical conceptual frameworks that are paramount in guiding the decisions that nurse leaders make in their areas of operation.
Firstly, the concept of meta-ethics seeks to question one’s knowledge of what is right and wrong (Borhani, Keshtgar & Abbaszadeh, 2015). It is the depth of one’s comprehension that guides the decision that he or she takes in a particular situation. Whether one makes a judgment out of emotions or fact, this is in the realm of meta-ethics. Normative ethics, on the other hand, is the critical analysis of an ethical action. This moves beyond having knowledge or understanding what is right or wrong. It involves a deep examination of the standards of what is considered to be right or wrong (Jafari et al., 2014). Normative ethics offers a prescriptive approach of what is right or wrong by studying what makes particular actions. These conceptions of ethics are extremely essential in nursing practice. Ethical decision-making is highly required in nursing practice, especially by nurse leaders.
The purpose of this paper is to identify an ethical dilemma in the work environment, conduct an analysis of the ethical, moral, and legal implications utilized in the situation, and what a nurse leader should do to address it. Indeed, a nurse leader or manager is the chief change agent in addressing the ethical dilemmas that often manifest in the work environment.
Ethical Dilemma in the Work Environment
There are lots of ethical dilemmas that nurse leaders encounter in their work environments. One of the ethical dilemmas I have encountered in my work environment is to balance between health care needs and resource allocation. It is evident that the cost of health care is rising and this often puts nurse leaders in a place of the dilemma between handling budgeting demands and meeting the needs of patients. In my work environment, I have encountered a situation whereby I am pressed between budget constraints and addressing the aspect of quality health care for patients. The specific scenario is that I have been in a situation whereby there have been few medical facilities and low staff members, which, of course, has a big negative impact on attaining quality patient care. The ethical dilemma in this situation is making sure that the hospital operates within its budget, while also ensuring that the needs of patients are met accordingly. Of course, with inadequate medical facilities and less staff members, it is difficult to meet the needs of patients effectively.
