The World Health Organization (WHO) and other humanitarian organizations play a great role in reducing the rate of substance abuse, as well as, rehabilitating the addicts (World Health Organization, 2016)). Organizations offer educational promotions to the society with the mission of supporting behavioural health and overcoming challenges. Promotions create awareness to the society about the hazardous risks linked to substance abuse and the means to curb any attempt of drug abuse (Galanter, 2014). Humanitarian bodies use campaigns to prevent chances of substance intake and ensure a significant reduction of the addiction count (Segal, 2014). WHO sponsors rehabilitation for the addicted members of the society through which they treat people diagnosed with substance linked health disorders (Lewis, 2014). Moreover, WHO negotiates with government official to regulate the drug market and persuades the leadership to set legislations banning harmful substances.
