Problem Identification

According to the case study of Brett Jones in Tanzania, HG faces serious CSR and ethical issues while constructing a dam in the African region due to Corporate-social challenges. Therefore, Graham Steinberg confuses to select an appropriate individual for holding the responsibilities. Hence, the prime duties involve the establishment of stakeholder connections, the implication of HR policies, ethical culture enhancement, promotion of CSR activities, etc. to regulate project effectively. However, the disparity in organizational and international culture creates a big difference in ethical values and CSR practices. After keen consideration on this project, Steinberg highlights multiple CSR problems that involve the unethical practice in HR; to hire individuals based on nepotism, the alteration in expatriate manager’s lifestyle, low level of motivation regarding strong positions, high priority on spiritual beliefs, and flat organizational structure does not control stakeholders.
