According to Jesus, wealth should be lent to other people no matter the return we get. He says that sinners lend to sinners; hence it may be implied that we should share the wealth because it can point towards being merciful, and everyone does it. So it can raise the question, “Why should we not share with others?” And this issue can be answered by, “We should share.” The passages in this section of the Bible treat wealth as something that should be commonly shared and owned.
How is wealth to be treated according to Jesus in Luke 18.18-25? What is the key issue (issues) here?
According to Jesus, wealth should be treated as a hindrance to entering the Kingdom of God. The main issue is that worldly possessions tend to make people do unrighteous things which can harm their souls and others. By giving up one’s wealth and possessions, Jesus guarantees treasures in Heaven.
