Drug advertisement
Most of the world is really connected with internet which has made it possible for the medical sector to extensively use the internet for drug prescription and advertisement. Also new drugs within the medical sector have paved their way to the market through the advertisements posted in the internet. To make the idea more realistic individuals can also order for the drugs online.
Drug advert
The pharmaceutical industry in United States in the year 2014 made one of the greatest advert in drugs. After a long period of a scientific workload to invent new drugs they were able to invent new drugs as by their objective CITATION Kue10 \l 1033 (Kuehn, 2010). Latuda advert was all over in TVs and on the internet. The ad advertised Latuda as antidepressant for bipolar patients. It went further to state that Latuda can be suicidal for the dementia patients. Uncontrollable muscle movement and high blood pressure are associated with Latuda which to some extent can lead to death. Decrease in the blood cells which can be fatal is also associated with Latuda. The patients shouldavoid grape juice while taking Latuda and the risks of weight gain are also high while taking Latuda.

This factor raised a lot of questions among those people who listened to the advert.
The 2007 amendment of the FDA act, introduced a clause that required the advert to encourage the listeners and users of the product to seek medical attention or advice from experienced medical service providers. This requirement was met as all through the advert kept on advising the consumers of the Latuda to seek medical advice in order to avoid the averse risks associated with the drug(21 U.S.C §§ 9).
The FDA also requires that the drugs risk information should be provided in the broadcast ad. However, they act provides further that the advertisers should provide a healthcare provider, a website or a toll free number where they can get more information. The Latuda advert met this requirement as by the advert. In the last part the advert provides a link to the website address where the clients can access further information(21 U.S.C §§ 14).
