The article Harassment vs. Free Speech shows how cases (or even simple allegations) of harassments can overrule one of the most basic right that each and every human being should have. The right to Freedom of speech. With regards to the article, I argue that I both agree and disagree with the opposing perspective of each of the parties involved in the case, but is more inclined towards the stance of Chris Murphy. I believe that, while it is true that freedom of speech must not be allowed to justify acts of harassment, it should depend on the magnitude of the act in order to determine whether it could be considered as “harassment” at all. In this case, it is apparent that what they call ‘harassment’ is a petty case and therefore, must not be sanctioned.
