It is frightening to read about female circumcision. It is a well-known fact that men are circumcised, but it is also known that this does not affect their sexual lives, mental health, or marriages. For men today, circumcision is a precaution that has been backed by scientific research. But the fact that women have to be circumcised without any medical recommendation is outrageous. Muslim custom is, to an extent, inhumane. Women are forced to undergo unbearable pains so that they can conform to tradition.
