There is flexibility with regard to online education which ensures that there is no conflict with my work schedule as I work fulltime. Even though, traditional classroom education is still popular, it is lees flexible as juggling between studies and work as school programs tend to be fixed. Furthermore, I believe I have the requisite computer and internets skills necessary to fulfill my dream of completing the degree. I am proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and have high web proficiency. Having previously worked as a web editor I believe that my skills acquired in web editing and in search engine optimization are vital. The mission statement of the school of social work aptly captures my belief that there is a need for equity in the society and respect for human rights in all individuals. In an inequitable world where prejudices still exist, upholding human rights and treating other human beings with dignity is far from being achievable. However, I believe that change is possible if an individual takes the initiative to make the world a better place and deal with discrimination based on gender, race or religion. I believe that with my experience in working for a care facility and volunteering, the knowledge I will gain from the program will help me to be an agent of change. Even after the universal declaration of human rights and various ratifications on the need to uphold human rights, there is a need to ensure that the rights and dignities of fellow human beings are not violated.
