Hello. I need to submit my Bachelor Thesis (in English Literature) supposedly within 6 weeks. I have to write minumum 32 pages. Firstly, before starting to write I need an abstract and outline. Abstract
The myth of the vampire in Gothic literature is closely linked to romantic love fantasies and there are distinct gender roles between the men and women. Furthermore, the females in literature set in the Victorian era are shown to be feminine, but also challenging the traditional gender roles. The social, economic cultural and religious aspects influenced perceptions about the place of women in the Victorian society. Victorian morality and sexuality are recurring themes and it was expected that women would be nurturing, be married and support their husbands. Female representation in “Turn of the Screw” by Henry James “Dracula” by Bram Stoker focuses highlight ideals of Victorian womanhood, and how the female symbolized and defied the norms .
