“Blue Collar Brilliance” story by Mike Rose reports prejudiced views that society holds pertaining the relationship between intellectual capacity and the job available. Professor Ross indicates that people invest in the intellectuals resources, but they get a rude shock when they get to the world market. In fact, most workers complain about the wages they receive compared to their level of education. In addition, the author points that it being in a social class is not an indication of the intelligence. The real meaning of life comes from having hands-on experience on the cruelness than is in the job market.
