Each group should have four students

Select a company that you would like to research as a group.  Use the annual report (Form 10-K) for your analysis.  The annual report is usually listed with the other SEC reports filed for the company, or it can be included on the Company’s website. You can also do a Google search for the annual report of the selected company.  Assume that you are preparing this analysis for the investment banking firm that you are associated with.  The firm is considering making a substantial investment in the company and is asking for your advice.   You need to recommend to the committee whether to invest or not invest in the selected company.  Discuss the following in your analysis:

Analysis of the competition and Cash flow Statement:  Review key financial information for the list of companies such as revenues, cost of goods, gross profit, operating expenses, and operating income. Review the ratios for the competitors from Yahoo, Morningstar or other financial websites and compare to your company as well. Ratios are already computed.  These ratios will be different than the ratios computed by the team (don’t worry about differences). Also research new information and reports about the company. Provide two-three pages written report of your analysis as well as your spreadsheets.
