Term Paper Instructions:

1. For this assignment, we will address the foundational course objectives that focus upon the role of and challenges facing the private sector in securing the homeland government’s expectations related to these issues. Specifically, you will provide details regarding how a specific private sector business/organization (whether that be a “real world” company or a fictitious one) is addressing and carrying out the Joint National Priorities for Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience. In your reply, you will be expected to address these priorities by incorporating the topics we have covered thus far in class (i.e. critical infrastructure, continuity of operations planning, partnerships, information sharing, challenges, etc.).
2. I do not have any preference on using a "real world" company or a fictitious one. It is up to the writers discretion.

Introduction
This paper presents how a fictitious company named Critical Infrastructure Program for America (CIPA) addresses the Joint National Priorities for Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience to secure homeland government prospects related to critical infrastructure, partnerships, information sharing, and continuity of operations planning.
The Critical Infrastructure Program for America (CIPA) is a fictitious organization meant to establish a Critical Infrastructure Program to improve the American Critical Infrastructure security. According to this organization, all American Member States should incorporate CIPA directives in all their national laws. The organization's Council Directive established that all members must identify critical infrastructure in both the transport and security sectors. This entails preparing the Operator Security Plan (OPS) to ensure that needed protective measures are put in place.
Roles of the Private Sector in Securing Critical infrastructure
Governments and private sectors share responsibility for critical and secure infrastructure. International organizations and national governments have been identifying strategies for Critical Infrastructure (CI). This establishes opportunities for security and private business consultancies to offer strategic services (Lewis, 2019). In the case of our case organization, it is a fact that CEIs have become targets for tourists. Therefore, it would be prudent for our fictitious organization CIPE to formulate a report that identifies key regions that could focus its critical infrastructure. These areas could include intelligence and information fusion and sharing, advancing regional and international cooperation, projecting stability, ensuring the protection of critical infrastructure, and supporting consequence management.

Hence, businesses can perform total homeland security work faster than governments working on their own. In the case of CIPA, the organization will be to counter non-conventional security risks. Its scope is to provide strategic intelligence analysis and capability to monitor and predict international changes that could affect member states' security.
Joint National Priorities for Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience
Responding to threats that affect the delivery of important services, national propensity, and safety, Presidential Policy Directive -21 (PPD-21) created a national policy to boost the country's important infrastructure's resilience and security using coordinated and proactive approaches (Setola, Luiijf & Theocharidou, 2016). Shortly after that, the National Infrastructure Protection Plan 2013: Partnering for Critical Infrastructure and Resilience (NIPP 2013) made ten more calls to chart the way for the critical infrastructure community towards attaining sector and national goals. Responsibility...
