One of the significant roles of leaders is to establish an environment of higher workforce engagement. To achieve this, the leaders need to develop a clear vision, communicate the vision to the team, challenging the team to remain focused on the concept, and finally provide support towards achieving the vision. One of the leadership theories that can be used by a leader to establish the above mentioned behaviors is the ABC Model. In the model, the leader is expected to perform three major behavioral roles, starting with Antecedents, then action, and finally, wait to see the consequences. A leader can implement antecedent by developing a vision with a personal passion, which can intrigue the team to want to achieve.
