Term Project - VoiceThread
For the term project, students will create a VoiceThread, an interactive collaboration and sharing tool that enables users to add images and audio to design a unique product about a congress-person from Texas that you have chosen for yourself. Go to http://voicethread(dot)com/ and register for a NEW account (sign-up) using your H C C email address, as this is the only way that you will be able to share the final product with me. The professor would have shown (shared) how a finalized VoiceThread looks during her introduction to the class on Monday, September 21, 2020 [https://voicethread(dot)com/share/8750422/]. There should be 10 slides in accordance with the specifications listed below. There must be pictures and audio for each slide (a summary), and the slides must play in a continuous fashion (without the viewer having to select next). You can even make picture collages. The presentation should be no longer than 12 minutes in total length time! DO NOT USE WIKIPEDIA AS A SOURCE!

1) 1 slide – Introduction of yourself along with a picture of yourself; and also mention who you’ll be
presenting on.

2) 1 slide – Introduction of your congress-person (picture, name, date of birth, city that they reside
in, district that they represent---and for how long)

3) 2 slides covering their personal life (e.g., early years, formative/early school years; college and/or
formal post-secondary education, parentage, married, children, siblings)

4) 1 slide – Provide 3 -4 interesting facts that you learn of (not having to do with congressional
service)

5) 2 slides – Should span entire adult life as an elected official
---Years in local office/government service (city, county, state) prior to being elected to congress
---Congressional years (how long have they been in congress, have they sponsored any bills
(successful or otherwise)?

6) If you could share 3 things with your designated congress-person, what would they be? 1 slide.
7) Conclusion (sum up the activity – what was something meaningful that you learned about
elected service/representative government along the way?). 1 slide.

8) Last slide – Reference page/slide – APA style [list the sources where your information came from;
again, D O N O T USE WIKIPEDIA!]. 1 slide.
