The Coca-Cola Company, commonly known as Coke, is a multinational food and beverage corporation having its headquarters in the United States (Coca-Cola Company, 2016). The company is known to manufacture, distribute and market nonalcoholic, concentrated beverages. The best and most popular product of this company is Coca-Cola, a beverage that was invented in 1886 by John Pemberton. Its formula was then sold to Asa Griggs Candler (in 1892) who incorporated the Coca-Cola Company. Since then, the company has been producing concentrated syrups that are sold to various bottlers across the globe. Besides, the Coca-Cola Company produces soft drinks like Vitaminwater, Diet Coke, Sprite, Minute Maid, Fanta, and Powerade. Coke is still its best selling soft drink and has now become a globally recognized beverage.
According to the annual report of 2005, Coca-Cola is selling its beverages in more than 195 countries across the globe and more than 45 million beverages are consumed on a daily basis. Coke is currently serving nearly 1.5 billion drinks, which is about 78 percent of the company’s total gallon sales per year.
For many years now, the company has been publicly trading and is ranked at 93rd number by Forbes for being an innovative company. It is also ranked 4th as the world’s most valuable brand (Forbes, 2016). Furthermore, businessmen Robert Woodruff and Ernest bought the company in 1919 for about $25 million and the business was then reincorporated as the Delaware Corporation.
