The international trade is facilitated through the incorporation of different factors such as culture, economics, and political system. In Canada, culture, geography, economic as well as the political system have an impact on international business. Canada’s own identity starts with a remarkable sense of culture and customs. For the native people, the Canadian identity stretches thousands of years into the search of struggles to retain elements of their ancient culture. From a colonial perspective, the traditions, which surface in Canadian culture, seem to be born of an earlier time, of different origins and places, of old-fashioned rituals, and customs. Unlike the United States, its senior neighbor, Canada’s aged-like identity is more reserved and skillful, unwilling to commit itself to anything specific. Canada participates in international trade by exporting agricultural products. The land in Canada is significantly vital as investors would cultivate and obtain agricultural produce for exports. Also, the Canadian river system carries a large amount of cargo for export, thus positively impacting international business (Friedman, 2019). Canadian producers use rivers to ship their goods to seaports. The north-south transport into the US is more efficient through the use of waterways.
Culture is the heart of every nation, and therefore it plays an essential role in international business. Global business requires a basic understanding of different cultures to ensure effectiveness. As countries become more economically integrated, it is necessary to provide strong domestic cultures as well as a cultural expression to maintain a sense of identity and sovereignty.
