From rise in temperatures to polluted air, nothing is safe for the future generation. In the U.S, cardiovascular disease is responsible for close to 610,000 deaths annually. In Canada, cardiovascular disease is the number two leading cause of annual deaths within the country. The disease claims close to 33,600 lives every year. The situation is the same in India where cardiovascular diseases are also the largest causes of mortality. Close to 25% of all annual deaths in India are as a result of cardiovascular diseases (Turner et. al. 2012). Thesis: With these worrying statics there is an urgent need to curb global warming by addressing its causative agents directly. I am proposing for a compulsory use of electric vehicles to avoid emission of greenhouse gases in cities across the globe.
