To my fellow students, to our professor, and to everyone sitting here at this moment - good day! In Devil Wears Prada, Doug once said “Fashion is not about utility. An accessory is merely a piece of iconography used to express individual identity.” I major in Fashion Marketing and I am standing here in front of you today to talk about Anna Wintour who is the inspiration behind Miranda Priestley’s character in the movie The Devil Wears Prada. It speculates that the character of Miranda Priestly is somehow similar to Vogue Editor-in-Chief, Anna Wintour. The resemblances become evident when the movie The Devil Wears Prada was compared to the documentary The September Issue by R.J. Cutler. To support this claim, Weisberger had worked as Wintour’s assistant before the creation of ‘The Devil Wears Prada’. Though the author has never disclosed who the character is really based. In, 2009, The September Issue was r...
