The schizophrenic disorder is a condition that encompasses both schizophrenia as well as a mood disorder. That is either a major depressive disorder or bipolar disorder (Awad & Voruganti, 2016).
The Psychological Disorder – Bipolar Disorder
Bipolar disorder, commonly referred to as manic-depressive illnesses are defined as a brain disorder that results in unusual changes in energy, activity, and mood levels as well as the capacity to normally engage in normal daily functions. Four primary kinds of bipolar disorders have been identified. All these kinds of bipolar disorder cause unusual shifts in activity, mood, as well as energy levels. The shifts range from highly motivated and energized behavior, also referred to as manic episodes to very sad as well as hopeless time, alternatively called depressive episodes (Rinehart, Bradshaw, & Enticott, 2016).
Persons who have bipolar disorder go through unusual and intense emotional changes. Besides, they experience shifts in the levels of sleep patterns and activity and abnormal behavior. These different experiences are known as mood episodes. Notably, the mood episodes are extremely distinct from the behaviors and moods which are normal for the individual. Drastic shifts in sleep, energy, and activity conform to mood episodes (Awad & Voruganti, 2016).
Precisely, persons with a manic episode may feel elated, have extremely high energy, and have a problem with sleeping. Besides, they would get irritable, engage in risky activities such as having reckless sex and feel like their imaginations are swiftly moving. On the other hand, those that experience depressive episodes may feel hopeless
