As students, we have always heard the word "global warming". We all have gone through various institutions, and at one point you must have heard your teacher in high school or elementary school mention the phrase "global warming." We do not always appear to be so interested in the matter since we think that it is not affecting our lives. We have tailored our minds to believe that global warming is such a complex topic that is caused by the emission of gasses by industries in our country. You might ask yourself; I do not own an industry neither do my family, so why should we be taught all these issues about global warming. The teacher should go to the people who own industries so that they can teach them about the matter and not you as a student as you are not involved in any way. I have not come here to condemn and blame you for your misconceptions about global warming but I have come here to inform you that Global warming is an issue that affects our daily lives, and we need to understand its effects and what role you can play in reducing if not ending the effects of global warming. We have the power to do this, we can do it and we will do it.
The planet is warming, and as a result, over the last century, the planet's temperature has risen by around 1 degree Fahrenheit which is the same as 0.6 degree Celsius CITATION Kri11 \l 1033 (Kristen, 2011). The United Nations panel on climate change predicts that the global temperatures will rise from 3-10 degrees Fahrenheit by the end of the century CITATION Ali14 \l 1033 (Alina, 2014). As students, we view the issue of climate change to be a topic that will take place in the future when probably we will be too old to remember, or we might not be there. Climate change is happening now, and we need to know how climate change is affecting our lives. Most of us are used to eating fish. As a result of the change in climate change, the waters are becoming warmer, and most of the fish are not able to survive in the waters. Some fish die while the others migrate to different areas where the climate is better. Some fish also begin preying on the other fish. As such the population of fish is likely to reduce in the coming and you will have trouble to get your delicious fish meal.
Dear compatriots, water is essential for life, we cannot at all do without water. As a result of global warming, some areas can receive more rainfall while the other areas are not able to receive rain at all.
