World leaders have the power and capability to change the world with their hard work, approach, and efforts. One such leader is Bill Gates. He is an American Business developer and is known for his ownership of Microsoft. However, this is not the only reason. He is called a leader because he has held strong positions in the corporate world as a software developer. A Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, President, and Chief Software Architect are some of these positions. Gates has made his name despite being a college dropout and is one of the richest men in the world today.
Evaluating Gates as a leader allows one to analyze leadership qualities that have built one of the most substantial firms of all time. We can understand why he is an established leader due to his ability to empower people and delegate work. Gates creates opportunities for his employees to come up with various ideas and handpicks the best ones to change the world. Many people work for Gates because of his position in the world market and because they want to transform themselves into future leaders. Bill Gates is known to follow a participative leadership style. The participative leadership style is ideal for the employees who want to participate in decision-making and setting goals with their managers (Farea et al., 2020). Gates lets his workers work in teams and follows a democratic approach instead of exerting power unnecessarily. People work with Gates because his acceptable policy allows them to achieve personal targets while meeting company goals.
Gates is not a leader due to his financial achievements but because of his philanthropist nature. The reason for choosing this leader is that evaluating Gates allows one to understand the importance of giving back to society.
