1 Describe teaming models and professional communication skills you will use when collaborating with IFSP stakeholders.
In the IFSP meeting agenda, we will employ the T7 teamwork model since we look forward to understanding how the team fits the bigger picture. This model will, therefore, help every participant to perform effectively. Moreover, certain communication skills should be employed for this meeting to be successful. One communication skill is active listening, where individuals should have mindful listening, where they will act on what is being said. Furthermore, the participants should have a high level of friendliness to work together perfectly. Furthermore, every stakeholder should address each other with respect despite the level they are in.
2 Identify family members and professionals representing multiple disciplines, skills, expertise, and roles who will provide information and data to determine eligibility for special education services.
In this meeting, there will be family members and professionals that will attend. For example, there will be a parent or a legal caregiver present. There could be other family members available. Moreover, the family could request an advocate from outside the family. There could also be a professional who will evaluate and assess the child's needs. Moreover, a person will offer early intervention services for the child and the family. Furthermore, the meeting would also have a therapist, health care provider, social worker, and child development specialist.
3 Explain legal and ethical policies and procedures for communicating IFSP information appropriately, including the use of technology.
When communicating the IFSP, individuals should employ legal and ethical policies. For example, all individuals should treat the data with respect. Therefore, These individuals should protect the data from those outside the IFSP team. Furthermore, if there is a need to share it, the key individuals should be notified first. Moreover, even though technology would help information sharing be more effective, some ethical principles should be employed. Since the information could be lost, the stakeholders should employ measures to protect the child's information at all costs.
