Research About The New World Order: Wars Of Ideology

Research Paper Instructions:

Writing Exercise I: Find a Written Conversation
Purpose and Description
Joining any conversation requires that we first learn something about the topic being discussed. Some of us might ask: Why should we put in the effort? Why not just start speaking? We all have our reasons, but in general, we do not want to be misinformed about a subject, we do not want to pass along false or harmful information, and we do not want to be the person who says something that has already been said time and again—and that everyone in the conversation already knows. Your aim in this exercise, specifically, will be to undertake preliminary research on a topic of your choosing in order to better inform your audience and yourself about it. Please consider the following as you undertake this assignment.
Invention and Inquiry
Identify a topical and debatable public issue that interests you;
Write down several reasons why the issue should be of interest to others;
Identify 5 key words or phrases that you could use to search your topic online;
Conduct a preliminary search of your issue using web-based resources;
Gather 3-5 popular but reputable sources related to your topic;
Create a citation list with appropriate documentation (MLA or APA) for at least 3 of the sources you have gathered.
The Composing Process
Compose a paragraph that introduces your topic and explains what makes it relevant;
Present 3 sources in annotation form (including academic citation and an approximately 100-word summation of the argument);
Compose a paragraph in which you explain how these sources are part of the same conversation and what that might mean for composing an informative essay on your topic.
The audience for this assignment is your instructor, your classmates, and, in general, anyone who can access and read information online. You should anticipate that readers have some education and knowledge of the subject but do no necessarily possess a clear or complete understanding of it.
Specific Requirements
Your paper should:
Introduce a topic for research;
Take steps to explain the relevance of the topic;
Gather together and cite multiple sources related to the topic;
Consider how the sources relate to one another in a type of “conversation”;
Include a title that reflects the spirit of the assignment;
Be 1-2 pages in length (single-spaced, one-inch margins, 12 point Times New Roman or Garamond typeface);
Be uploaded to Canvas as a Word document by the deadline (consult your course syllabus and schedule for details).
You will build on the work you complete in this assignment for Major Paper I. So, the more work you put in here—reading, researching, gathering and citing sources—the better equipped you will be to compose your informative essay. Please contact me if you have questions about this assignment or anything else related to the course.

Introduction
Today, bombings, terrorisms, police brutality, racist movements, and even, acts of insurgence are common place as evident in the news being shown all over the world. As compared to previous times within our lifetimes, events like these continue to increase in terms of frequency and magnitude. As anyone would also notice, most of these acts are happening right in our neighborhoods and this is exactly a good reason for anyone to stay vigilant and ready. As more instances of police brutality could be seen in the streets of the West, increasing numbers of extrajudicial killings in the Philippines as a part of its War on Drugs, rise of Neo-Nazism and racism in the protests in US, and rising tolls of casualties in the bombings in Europe, this socio-political topic is indeed conversation worthy and could surely be expected in any instances of interaction today. However, while some conspiracy theorists might argue that these are the works of some states trying to overtake others, the second coming of their God, or, in some extreme cases, the work of aliens, my research has found out that most of these happenings today could be attributed more towards differences in “ideologies”, as compared to what our ancestors have previously fought before, which is the conflict in territory and nation. What makes this knowledge interesting and different is that it focuses on differences in “ideology” regardless of one’s country of origin, which is comparable to the previous world wars fought in terms of territory and sovereignty, and would certainly make anyone think and re-think his own perspectives of the reality around him.
In this article, I would first highlight the importance of knowing more about the socio-political context of today’s world, as well as having a different take on what’s happening in terms of wanting to have a conversation with other people. After this section, I would also discuss my research about what I (and other political scientist would call) as the New World Order. In concluding this article, I would show the reasons why this new order is considered as a war fought in different fronts and why these wars are brought to our own very streets.
Importance as Conversational Material
In line with its use as a conversational material, I believe that being well adept with understanding what is happening today, is important especially when talking about politics and other societal issues, which grownups and professionals do. As an example, most of us would recognize a time or an event when individuals would hang together, talk together about different things, and eventually up talking about politics. By knowing that the wars being fought today, are less oriented towards differences in nationalities, and are much more inclined towards differences in terms of belief, ideas, cultural constructs, among others, any conversationalist could pose a more interesting conversation and open up more possibilities of engagement while others were talking.
The New World Order
While the New World Order is known to most people as a conspiracy theory ...
