Paper 3, Exploratory Draft Peer Review – Due on Blackboard 1. Download your partner’s essay, then: 2. Read the questions on this page. Read your partner’s paper. 3. if .doc, write your answers on the bottom of the essay.  4. If .pdf, write your answers on a separate word document. 5. Upload answers to partner’s Blackboard thread. )
Overall Unity1. [ Bracket ] (or write) your partner’s thesis, or unifying and controlling focus that is maintained throughout. What is the “topic + comment”? a. If it is not so clearly stated, suggest what you think it might be.  Incorporating Source Material2. Underline: All examples of Evidence/Data. This can be either quotes, statistics, or concrete details from sources. 3. For all quotations/data, check:a. Do they make sense?b. Are they necessary?c. What is the reason for quoting?d. Do they belong here?e. Do they flow smoothly? Are they correctly built into the grammar of the sentence?f. Are the punctuation rules followed?g. Are they documented correctly?i. Mark on paper (or write) where any of these can be improved. 4. Highlight in Green all paraphrase/summary of a source. For all paraphrases and summaries:a. Do they sound like the author’s own words? (In other words, is the paraphrase too close to the original; does it need to use less of the original language?)b. Do they make sense?c. Are they necessary?d. Is the information provided complete?e. Do you feel the need to see the author’s exact words?f. Do they belong here?g. Do they flow smoothly? Are they grammatically correct? (This may also indicate too much dependence on the language of the original.)h. Are they documented correctly? i. Mark on paper (or write) where any of these can be improved.5. Highlight in blue any analysis of the source. a. Are quotes/evidence analyzed appropriately, without resorting to general commentary?
Paragraph Unity and Development (MEAL!)6. Read the paper and identify the main idea in each paragraph. Then:a. Note any sentences that don’t seem to relate to the main idea.7. For each paragraph, decide if it:a. needs to be broken up because it’s dealing with two or more main ideas,b. needs more connecting words or phrases to make links between ideas clearer,c. needs more material to develop or flesh out the ideai. If using PDF, describe “Par 1,” “Par 2,” etc.
Overall :8. How do you find the ratio of description to summary to evidence to analysis? What might they need more of? Where?
9. Highlight in yellow (or write out) any phrases that include extra vague, abstract commentary. Essentially, if it does not involve a concrete, precise word, highlight in yellow for your partner to clarify. Is your partner being specific? Are they saying “significance” or “emotion” or “meaning” without giving the words that it actually means? Where might they be able to use clearer, more precise wording?
10. Do not look for grammar/mechanical errors yet. However, if you happen to see any mistakes, mark them red.

Car Safety’s Technology
Introduction
Ever since an automobile was invented, lives have really been transformed in a great way. Movement from one place to another has been made easier and comfortable; businesses have also been made better due to availability of safe transport. However, driving has not come without its challenges; many people have lost their lives as a result of road accidents caused by automobile. There are also some people who have been rendered invalid due to accidents that have been caused by reckless driving or due failure in engine. Due to these many accidents that have been brought by automobiles, there have been many technological innovations that are geared towards ensuring safety of people in these vehicles. For example, there is a car safety technology that has been discovered to ensure that cars are keeping safe distance to avoid falling into danger is known as an Adaptive Cruise Control. These technologies are not only capable of helping the driver to avoid dangerous situations, but also to those people round them in the vehicle (Wang, Xiang and David, 47).
This essay examines cars safety technologies that have been invented to help those who are driving to detect dangers automatically.
Responsive and Reactive Technologies in Cars
There have been numerous technologies that have been invented to help drivers avoid falling into dangers while driving, and one of those many technologies is known as an Adaptive Cruise Control. This technological system is capable of sensing the vehicles ahead so as the driver can adjust the speed to keep a safe following distance. There are also some Adaptive Cruise Control systems that have incorporated emergency braking to help slow the vehicle to avoid any unprecedented collision. The other responsive technology that has also been invented is called Adaptive Headlights. These Adaptive Headlights have been specifically designed to help illuminate the road ahead during turns. The other good thing about the Adaptive Headlights is that it can help in improving nighttime visibility on roads that are curved. This technology is made in such a way that as the driver turns, the lights would adjust to light up the roadway ahead. The other technology that has got reactive and responsive features is called the Anti-Lock Braking Systems (ABS) that has been there for many years to an extent that most of drivers have not realized it has got an in-built safety requirement to prevent their brakes from locking up when they stop working. Despite the fact ABS may not always be able to assist the drivers to stop too quick, it may assist the drivers to maintain the control of the vehicle when it is stopped through preventing the wheels from skidding (Travellers Indemnity Company, Par. 2).
The Technology to Ease Automation
To begin with it would be important to note that there are some things that can be done using the technology that humans cannot do due to their limitations. For example, if a car has got automatic lights, they will go on automatically when the vehicles are heading to the lights. Before the driver even places his or her fingers on the switch, the automatic light system in the car would...
