Introduction
The Fallen Timbers Battlefield comprises of 187 axes of open land with a wooded area near the center. This property border on the East by Interstate 475 and to the south by US Highway 24, on the West by a commercial development and to the north by another commercial development. At the northwest corner of the Battlefield, there is a railroad that spur through this field. It is one of the properties that present the historical theme of America- “The Advance of the Frontier, 1763-1830.”
Thesis Statement
America has a wide history ranging from the founding fathers of the country, history events and places, and numerous revolutions. Digging deeper into the U.S history, one realizes that it has taken great sacrifice and commitment for the transformation of this land into its current status. This paper evaluates the history of “The Battle of the Fallen Timbers” as one of the events that count significant in America up to date.
Historical Review
In 1783, the Treaty of Paris marked the end of the Revolutionary War. However, it contained a condition that permitted the British to stay in the Northwest Territory as long as United States finalize on resolving land problems with the Native Americans who had been British allies for quite long. However, this idea succumbed to numerous challenges particularly from the tribes that occupied this region: Chippewa, Ottawa, Pottawatomi, Shawnee, Delaware, Miami, and Wyandot communities. Jacobs Charles argues “these tribes formed solid federations to stop U.S from their agenda of settling the land ownership.” The stunning defeat of General Antony’s troops in 1791 by the Chief Little Turtle’s Federation forces saw George Washington declaring the General Antony as the commander of the Legion of the United States. The consequent Battle of Fallen Timbers in 1794 turned out as the starting point for determining the U.S jurisdiction of the Old Northwest Territory.

In August 1794, General Antony Wayne guided his troops of the Legion of the United States from their castle at Roche de Bout.
