19th century art Name Subject Date 19th Century Art Various technological and social changes marked the 19th century as a result of the industrial revolution. Therefore, the world of art had to change in order to accommodate these changes and remain relevant to the world. Artists had new inspirations and socio-political aspects that needed to be represented in their artistic works. In addition, the technological changes also required them to change their styles and techniques used in the presentation of their works. It is through such changes that the world was able to come up with different views regarding various artistic works. The historical context of the 19th-century art attracts different world views in the current world of the political and social commentary of the happenings of that era. Therefore, there are various ways through which the 19th-century exhibitions raise questions in relation to organization and transmission of aesthetic principles and world views.[Koutliani, Katerina, Theodore Ganetsos, Christina Merkouri, Maria Perraki, and Nikolaos Laskaris. "Pigments Identification in Oil Paintings of 18th–19th Century from the Museum of Post-Byzantine Art of Zakynthos Using Raman Spectroscopy and XRF." In Euro-Mediterranean Conference, pp. 196-203. The worldview on a particular kind of art cannot be best understood without having an analysis of the country in which the art was created. Therefore, in the case of French, most of the art was inspired by the various political eras, and therefore, the world could interpret art as a representation of political information. The 19th-century French art was not focused much on aesthetic principles but rather on the various socio-political aspects. Most of the artworks were inspired by political events which people could interpret by simply looking at a painting. In addition, the works remain in history as a reminder of the various political happenings in France. As well, the 19th-century art from other parts of the world also presented socio-political issues depending on the artist's origin. During this era, the world could differentiate the works of art from different parts of the world due to the unique style that was used by the artists. The creation of art using oil sketches began in Italy in the 16th century, and by the end of the 19th century, it had spread to most part of Europe. This explains the reason as to why most of the French art during that period was inspired by the nation's poli...
