How Blockchain is Being Used in the Entertainment Industry

The assignment description is paraphrased as follows:
"1. Write a 1200-word (minimum) paper (approx. 5 pages) describing your new technology, its history of development, and why you think it will be the next big thing. Other than claiming your technology on the team discussion board, this part of the project is entirely individual. You do not need to wait for anyone on your team before writing.
2. Your paper must include:
a. A Title Page
b. A Table of Content with the following chapters.
i. Chapter 1: Introducing your general topic, your specific technology and general information
ii. Chapter 2: A history of your specific technology from its very beginning to the present day. This does not need to be an in-depth analysis, but it does need to be detailed. Think annotated timeline, but in text only, not on an actual timeline. The idea is to fill the reader in on the history of its development and how that development was received by the public at the time, so include complaints as well as positive responses.
iii. Chapter 3: Make some predictions. What if your technology were in wide use? What can we learn from the history of its development? From the history of technology in general? What can we expect from the public reaction or corporate leaders or politicians? What shifts would happen in the job market, and how would we recover? Use what you’ve learned in the class to make an educated guess on what would happen if your technology were in wider use. And what if the technology fell into “the wrong hands?” Any technology can be exploited—what are the potential pitfalls and how can we address them?
iv. Chapter 4: Conclusion
1. Summarize what you’ve discussed in the previous chapters—give your reader a little refresher.
2. In the final analysis, do you think your technology will help or hurt?
Will it be a blessing or a curse—or both?
v. Chapter 5: Your script for your series segment, explained in further detail in Part V.
vi. A bibliography with all sources used in this project.
1. I am not putting a limit on the number of sources because I want you to use all the sources available, and that will vary depending on your topic. That said, demonstrating your ability to thoroughly research the topic is part of your grade. Using one source for any information is never a good idea and will poorly impact your research grade on this project.
2. You can also use in-text citations for this paper, although you should keep in mind that any quotes you have will not count toward your word count. Please remember to disregard any quotations used when calculating your word count for this paper.
3. I am not requiring any format (MLA, APA, Turabian) for the bibliography. If I can find the source, I’m happy.

Now, here I should elaborate more on chapter 5 of the paper, which is the script for a 2 minute video that each class member should submit as an episode of a series, so here is the assignment description for that:
"Write your script for your segment. On average, people read 130 words per minute—so a two-minute script should be about 260 words. You will not be able to, nor are you expected to, include everything you wrote in your paper in your script. You are going to want to hit the high points, be entertaining, and get
people interested in your technology. Go through your research, find the most
interesting bits, and put that in your script.b. Your script will be part of your written project as Chapter 5.
c. Film your segment. Remember to use whatever connective device your group came up with, and keep in mind the purpose of the segment: you are part of a larger series within a show (fictionally) produced by our class. You want to be professional, and that includes being aware of where you are filming and what you are wearing while filming. It is also part of your final examination for this class, so take it seriously.
i. You do want to be entertaining, so goofiness is a legitimate option. That said, it must be an option that all topic team members agree with. If one member of the team posts a silly segment, while everyone else is formal, it will not look like a connected series.
ii. I am not expecting you to film your segment perfectly. I am expecting to see an effort"
The theme we decided on is a funny theme where each person takes a jab at the tech they are presenting by making a joke about it. The connective device will be a punchline at the end of each video: something like this: " The entertainment of the future starts today, and until next time tech out." We decided that the title for the series will be " The Tech of Tomorrow: The Entertainment of the Future.
The tech I chose for the assignment is blockchain, and how it is being used in the entertainment industry. For the bibliography, please use a minimum of 5 sources if possible.
