Electronic survey has become one of the most preferred methods used to conduct researches. Factors that have led to this increase are that electronic survey is faster, more accurate, cheaper, quicker to analyze and they are easy to use by researchers.
Regarding speed, electronic surveys are fast compared to other methods. When using this method to carry out research, one can complete it two-thirds earlier than when using the traditional methods. This is because, with the electronic survey, information is gathered there and then; one does not have to wait for questionnaires to be brought back to them. Using electronic surveys is also cheaper as online surveys do not cost much hence reducing the costs that would have been incurred for the comprehensive research (Bruce, 2012). Information gathered electronically is more accurate than that which is collected manually. The system usually detects errors which an individual conducting the research manually may not be able to see and correct. This makes work easier for the researcher. When it comes to analyzing, the electronic survey is quicker as the results of the conducted survey are always ready at any time.
