Agency Visit Part II: Visit and Interview (100 Points)
Conduct your agency visit and interview this week and prepare and submit a summary of the results of the interview. Be sure to address each of the following items:
Describe the agency in terms of its mission, who is served in terms of clients, and what sorts of crises are addressed.
List and describe the types of services provided.
Explain how the agency is funded.
Explain how staff is trained.
Describe how the impacts of crisis—i.e., staff stress and burnout—are managed within the agency.
Reflect on how what you have learned about the agency illustrates or is informed by at least one of the concepts or elements covered in the first five modules (including definition and/or theory of crisis and the physical/mental health implications of crisis for individual victims, families, crisis workers, and the organizations that deal with crisis intervention).
Discuss your reaction to and thoughts about the agency, its value to the community, and the challenges and satisfactions associated with working with such an agency as a career.
Discuss and cite at least two of the assigned readings for Modules 1-5 and at least one additional credible or scholarly source to support your analysis and positions. The CSU-Global Library is a good place to find scholarly sources. You can also find a link on how to write up an interview in APA under the “APA Guide & Resources” link.
Your paper should be three or four pages in length with document and citation formatting per CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA Requirements.

When an individual is experiencing an overwhelming feeling of hopelessness and helplessness characterized by an internal or external pressure they are considered to be in a crisis. Such an individuals may also experience a short-lived change in mental function leading them to experience feeling like they are having a breakdown, falling apart or losing their minds. Such and individual might also show changes in their moods, thoughts as well as behavior CITATION Mat15 \l 1033 (Goodman, 2015).
It is because of this reason that I decided to find out how this kind of individuals are assisted in dealing with the crisis they might be facing. A crisis state is mostly common in people who are known to abuse drugs excessively. This excessive abuse of drugs leads them to be dependent on these drugs in order for them to function normally. This means that without the use of these drugs, these people are bound to face an internal struggle that leads them to be in a hopeless state physically as well as mentally. This mostly happens when these people seek help to enable them to free themselves off drug dependency. At this point, these people require a lot of care and attention and it is the duty of the ones close to them to provide the care, attention and comfort these people require. One of the solutions most caregivers opt for in helping these people is booking them in a rehabilitation center or agency. The purpose of taking these people to a center is to get them away from any influence that may lure them back into the vice. Secondly the centers help in educating the individuals on the dangers of the vice as well as giving them the benefits of shunning the vice. They also help the individuals deal with their crisis by use of professionals who are specifically trained to deal with such issues CITATION RDB06 \l 1033 (Baler, 2006).
These centers offer treatment to persons in a mental crisis, which could include depression, suicidal thoughts as well as psychotic symptoms such as seeing Imaginary figures and hearing imaginary voices, all as a result of drug use and dependency for an extensive period of time CITATION BWF09 \l 1033 (Fletcher, 2009). I visited one such center to so as to enable me to understand the functions of these centers with regards to handling these individuals and successfully reintroducing them back to society.
The Harmony Foundation, 1600 Fish Hatchery road, Estes Park CO 80517, in Colorado, is a rehabilitation center that deals with alcohol, amphetamines, cocaine, heroin, marijuana, meth as well as prescription drugs addicts. Its mission is to provide a stepping stone to a sustained recovery the diseases, they consider as drug and alcohol addiction as well as the forms of crisis that this addiction brings into an individual's mental and physical status CITATION Dor15 \l 1033 (Dot, 2015).
Harmony foundation offers a set of programs to its diverse clients of different genders as well as different ages, who come to the center, or are brought by their loved ones. They include;
* The Men's Residential Treatment: This is a gender specific program that offers comprehensive men's alcohol and drug rehabilitation services. It ...
