Turn in the 2-3 page summary (including your name, the course, and title of the article- double spaced and no longer than 3 pages) with the printed article copy attached on the day of the final exam. In your summary, here is what I want you to do, in your own words:
1. Discuss the importance of the research: why was this study conducted, and what new information will the results add to the literature?
2. Discuss, in general terms, what they were examining/testing (research questions/hypotheses) and how they conducted the research: what variables did they measure/manipulate? how did they collect data? What did the participants experience?
3. Discuss, in general terms, what the researchers found (a general summary of the results), and why this is important (implications of the findings).

Judicial systems involve complex processes of unearthing the truth behind a case towards the delivery of justice. In the process of building cases, interrogation is one of the most effective sources of information for officers. However, the procedures can be marred with irregularities and overlooked considerations, which can be misleading the justice system. Juvenile interrogation has been a controversial topic as cases of wrongful convictions are on the rise. This article presents a review of the research by Delisa Johnson published by ProQuest, looking at the main objectives, methods, and findings.
* Importance of the research
The study was aimed at investigating the opinions and perceptions of law enforcement officers about their interactions with juveniles during interrogation. The study was aimed at formulating the basis for new techniques which can be adopted during the interrogation process to enhance cooperation and accuracy of information gained. Another objective of the study was to shed light on the techniques used by officers during juvenile interrogation and their impact on the justice process. Evaluating the current system would expose the areas of concern on the topic to enable further research.
* Methodology
The main way for data collection was interviews and the study of existing literature.
