Week 2: Organizational Development, Culture
Your final research paper will be based on a topic of your choice related to an aspect of organizational development examined in this course (see list provided). This assignment requires that you explore a key aspect of organizational development within a large business setting, and prepare a substantive outline detailing the program that you intend to design, develop, implement, and maintain for the benefit of the organization identified. For the purposes of this assignment, you must select a Fortune 1,000 company for this project. You may use the readings assigned in the class to supplement your research.
Prepare an outline with bullet points of the topics, subtopics, theories and concepts that you plan to ultimately cover in your research paper. A sample outline is provided in the Resources section. In addition, please refer to the reference below for more information on research paper outlines. This assignment is worth 5 percent of your grade.

This is an intricate process that is associated with reviewing as well as modifying the management structures of an organization. It is also common that some of the business processes are going to be reevaluated and modified to make way for new and improved processes. It is important for organizations to instigate changes on their own given the business environment dynamics. Contrary to which they are forced into making changes. Effecting changes in reference to the business environment assists companies to ensure that they stay ahead of the competition and have efficient and effective business processes.
* Forces of change
As mentioned above, change is an aspect that can come from the business environment and/or internally. These are considered to be drivers of change. As such change forces can be classified into two; internal and external.
1 External forces
These are drivers that come from the business environment and in most of the cases are within a realm that the business has no control over. As such the business has to adopt new strategies to counter the changes to stay ahead.
