Interim Research Report. IT Management Research Paper
This is a report and not the actual research paper; however, this report will be the guidance on how the paper will be written. And the class is project Quality Management using the updated PMBOK 2017.
Interim Research Report.
To ensure students are progressing on the right track with their research projects, an interim report is required The interim research report provides the instructor the opportunity to review the research progress and offer comments and suggestions to help the students in their learning and completing their final papers.
The interim research report should have the following information:
The research topic: Should be clear. The research objectives is well defined and articulate
The research question/hypothesis: The report should have a well defined research question/hypothesis to be answered
Methodology: Clearly describes the methodology as how the research will be conducted. For example a thorough review of analysis and synthesis of data from scholarly publications by collecting primary data through surveys and interviews and significant sources identified
Report content: The report contains a structured outline and most sections of the paper contains draft material
Reference and sources: Minimum 10 scholarly articles used.

The organization must continuously improve the efficiency of the total quality management system when implementing it through the use of the quality policy, the quality objectives, the results of the audits, data analysis, while considering quality and productivity in projects (Örgün et al., 2018). Models such as Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMi) are useful in software processes management and assessing quality (Pedroso & Oliveira, 2013). The CMMI eliminates inconsistencies, which reduces the cost of implementing process improvement and helps establish guidelines in projects (Silva et al., 2015). CMMi, is an established standard which can be a starting point for adopting process improvement models since CMMi can be tailored for different organizations (Chevers et al., 2017)
