I work in a bank organization and there are five major types of information systems that are performing essential and specific roles. They include, Management Information System (MIS), Decision Support System (DSS), Transactions Possessing System (TPS), Office Automation System (OAS), and Knowledge Work System. (KWS).
Question 1 (a)
MIS combines with TPS to extract transaction data that are used to form reports, displays and response on withdrawals, deposits as well the general financial information of the bank.
DSS is very essential for the bank because enables managers from finance departments to examine the fluctuating trends in loans and deposits to determine the yearly targets.
TPS helps in recording complicated withdrawal, deposits, cashing of cheques as well as tracing loans.
OAS has helped in solving managerial activities, office automation as it allows conduction of conferencing through creation of memos, reports and messages, and controlling the banks performance in general
KWS is important for the bank as it assists with updated and new information through systems such as financial workstations and virtual reality systems that incorporates the use document management tools, analytical, graphics and communications.

MIS provides database that offered managers with tools to organize evaluate and manage financial information and departmental operations. The system is programmed in a way that offers systematic reports on every operations in the firm.
DDS has developed vital information to support decision making process at important.
TPS is useful in organizing, storing, updating, and retrieving transaction and other accounting related data for record keeping and input to the other types of CBIS.
OAS is essential for improving the efficiency as well as productivity of employees as it helps to automate tasks such as preparing mailing, scheduling meetings, printing typesetting, transcription, written communication, calendar keeping.
OAS helps office workers such as, administrative assistants, personal assistants secretaries, typist’s managers, staff professionals and others.
KWS promotes the creation of knowledge and to ensure that knowledge as well as technical skills are proper integrated into business.
