Being an IS professional, requires a supplement degree with a professional certification. Human Resources professionals involved in implementing organizational strategies and policies are important contacts for organization staff and its stakeholders (SHRM-SCP, 2017). The HR delivers services and also involved in performing other HR functions. Hence, they need to consider taking The Society Human Resource Management course (SHRM-SCP, 2017).
To qualify for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exam, the applicant needs to meet certain educational and work experience criteria (SHRM-SCP, 2017). For those applying for Bachelors degree, one needs to have a 4-years work experience in the HR role for HR related programs and five years work experience for non-HR programs (SHRM-SCP, 2017).
The cost of SHRM-CP OR SHRM –SCP exams vary, nonmembers pay $400 while SHRM members pay $300. An additional, non-refundable application fee of $ 50 is paid by both categories (SHRM-SCP, 2017).
An applicant for the degree course will be trained in human resource management, industrial organization psychology, organizational leadership or leadership development, human capital development, organizational behavior, labor and industrial relations among the major courses (SHRM-SCP, 2017).
