The Poor Don’t Have Opportunities

Research Paper Instructions:

For the first assignment, you read an article from the Current Issues and Enduring Questions textbook, from an article on our class Canvas page, or an article you identified, and, from the subject of that article, you developed a thesis statement that will serve (as least for now) as the thesis for your research project. That first assignment got you started on the project; the next is designed to get you deeper into the subject of your research project.
For the second assignment, your task is to produce an essay that is at least seven to ten paragraphs in length. Your first paragraph should be an introduction that explains the overall subject you’re writing about and includes a thesis statement. If you wish, one (and only one) of your body paragraphs may be a summary of the article that you summarized in three paragraphs for the first assignment. If you do include a one-paragraph summary as part of this second assignment, you may not use any quotations from the original article. The other five to eight body paragraphs should be your ideas on the subject of your research project. The final paragraph should be a conclusion that brings the essay to a satisfactory close.
Your final draft must be at least seven to ten full paragraphs and must include an introduction, five to eight body paragraphs, and a conclusion. For the final draft, valid paragraphs need to have seven to ten sentences. The final draft must be typed and double-spaced, and you should underline the thesis statement on your final draft.
