Do not use conference proceedings for this assignment, as we will explore conferences in another week. If there are not many academic journals specific to your area of specialization, then feel free to be more specific. For example, if there are not many academic journals specific to project management, but your area of interest is health informatics, you may use that for your academic journal search. Find 3 academic journals of interest to you that use a peer-review process for reviewing articles for publication. Review and evaluate the journal's website. You may not be able to download entire specific journal articles, but you will be able to see a lot of information about the journal and the type of articles it has accepted.

1.Compare and contrast the 3 academic journals.
2.Provide details regarding the number of issues per year, subject matter, rules for submission, etc.

After identifying the research academic journals it is necessary to evaluate the relevance of these journals to the subject area. The field of engineering technology incorporates engineering, science, social and management science topics. As such, identifying the research impact as reported by the websites is necessary to rank the websites and choose what is most relevant. Three engineering management research journals will be chosen compared and contrasted, and journal metrics to rank the sites will be included. Journals that are widely cited are ranked higher and this is linked to their impact in the field of engineering management.
Comparison and contrast of academic journals
The Engineering Management Journal (EMJ) includes peer reviewed articles on engineering management research article. Like the other journals, it includes studies on project management. There are also tables and figures are labeled consecutively, and the documentation style adopted in the journal is followed by other engineering management journals. EMJ is published by the American society for engineering management (ASEM), there are many technical papers. The journal differs from the Journal of Management in Engineering, which mainly addresses emerging issues in construction management.
The Journal of Management in Engineering (JME) is a bimonthly journal published by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and while the journal includes articles on civil engineering, it is multidisciplinary as it includes studies in engineering management. There are case studies and peer reviewed studies included in the journal. Some of the management topics explored include scheduling and project management, and as it places more emphasis on the construction process. To incorporate various fields related engineering management, the journal goes beyond the built sciences to integrate the social sciences more than the other journals.
