Introduction
It is essential to consider the fact that different institutions find it difficult incorporating the aspect of adult learning within their systems. In as much as some institutions have included this approach within their education systems, it is vital to consider that several areas within this process lack the required learning frameworks (Boydell, 2016). This clearly indicates that the process of adult learning lack quality structures that are developed to enhance this process. In this case, adult learning should be understood as an approach that initiates different learning methods that go beyond the acquisition of knowledge into the refining of behavior.
The adult learning process considerable includes the approaches aimed at revising and restructuring knowledge that has initially been received or the increase of self-knowledge that enhances the ability of individuals (Boydell, 2016). In consideration of the fact that there are several adult learners who are urged to continue learning, it is in this case essential for educational institutions to develop appropriate adult learning methods within different institutions of learning.
In as much as there are several challenges that adults face in pursuing education, there is a need of these challenges being recognized by educational institutions and other non-traditional educational organizations in providing opportunities for these groups of people (Boydell, 2016). Through this, educational institutions are in a position to develop curriculum methods and appropriate structures that would allow this learning to find learning favorable and meeting their needs. These learning approaches should also consider different elements within the learners’ lives such as their occupations and other factors in instituting appropriate learning periods that suit the learner’s needs.
