The agency targets to help children and family members subjected to emotional abuse in Irvine. Children are rescued from abusive families and placed in child care centers. All documentation necessary and relevant for their adoption is handled by these centers and if there is the pursuable criminal case to seek justice for these children, it is handled by the agency. There is no formal process for applying for these services as they are interventional in nature when there is sufficient evidence to prove child neglect and or abuse. The agency is funded by governmental resources and only operates a single center around Irvine.
I believe it is an important agency that could help rescue children who are abused emotionally, physically, sexually or neglected and facilitating their transition to a better environment.
California Coalition Against Sexual Assault
California coalition against sexual assault is primarily concerned with offering help to sexually assaulted individuals. Its primary target is helping victims of sexual assault to find justice and access professional therapeutic sessions. It also seeks to create awareness in the community on the prevalence of this heinous crime and how anyone can participate in ending it. It is funded through the department of justice and helps administer justice for victims of sexual abuse. Since the agency is interventional in nature, there is no formal application for assistance and they step in to help any victim if there is sufficient evidence to prove sexual assault on anyone irrespective of their race, ethnicity, legal status, nationality etc. The agency has an office in Irvine which serves the Irvine community.
I believe it is an important agency that helps victims of sexual assault to seek justice at no cost since it is funded through the department of justice. It has helped many victims of sexual assault get justice and overcome trauma at no cost.
Center of Excellence on Elder Abuse and Neglect, University of California Irvine
The University of California established a program to help neglected and abused seniors. The agency which was established by the School of Medicine's Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology is unfed by a variety of sources including various foundations, the federal government, Cy Pres settlements and private donations. The target population is elderly people who have been neglected and or abused by their family members.it creates awareness on the plight of neglected and or abused elderly and intervenes to help any victim of the same. The victims are counselled and placed in elderly homes where they can lead a better-quality life.
In my opinion, this is a noble idea of helping the elderly. Not many organizations exist which target the elderly and the Irvine community is lucky to have one.
