Identify a publicly owned natural resource that is in danger of being degraded or exhausted and describe how you think people could be encouraged to manage it in such a way that the "Tragedy of the Commons" could be avoided. (2 points) Please remember to respond using complete sentences and identify any references used that are not the textbook.

Saving the Depleting Forest Reserves
Forests have been for a long time a resourceful natural source of materials that are known to be important to man. Indigenous forests are common for their good source of timber used in carpentry and the production of good quality of coal. On the other hand, the softwood trees are resourceful in the provision of raw material for making pulp and paper. These trees are common sources used in the preparation of meals, warming houses, and building materials. The stretching community population is now forcing people to encroach the few forest reserves across the world. Rapid deforestation has become rampant in India and most of the tree reserves in the country are being destroyed (Fao.org. 2016). In Senegal and Nigeria, the forest cover of the land is increasingly reducing so fast due to encroachment (Olarewaju, Orumwense, Agbor & Awe, F, 2017). This has resulted in increasing rates of deforestation, which are a threat to the forests and woodlands across the globe.
Handberg and Angelsen (2015) have prescribed different forest...
