The law enforcement profession is one of the most challenging fields that exist. This is because they are the custodian of the laws that have been put in place. It is for this reason that I embarked on carrying out a research on the law enforcement profession with emphasis on the police officers. This main purpose of the proposed research paper is to seek more information on the job description of the police officers. In addition, the proposed research is to focus on the level of job satisfaction that the police officers have as well as the extent of hazards that the police officers encounter in form of challenges.
In carrying out the proposed research, I intend to employ the questionnaire structure. The questionnaire structure is an interview strategy that incorporates the questions listed on a paper. The potential participants are then supposed to give their feedback regarding the particular situation alongside the questions given. The main reason behind using questionnaires for this proposed research is that, it is quite practical and large information can be collected from many people within a short period (Conser et.al, 2013). In addition, the questionnaire method is quite effective and can be carried out by many people without interfering with the credibility and integrity of the research. In addition, the questionnaire method presents those carrying out the research with the opportunity to analyze the collected data much faster as well as the fact that the researcher will be able to compare and form hypothesis within a shorter duration of time.
In an attempt to find out facts on the research, I was to include the questions that seek to establish the perception of the participant with regard to job satisfaction and the job harzads.
How long have you been providing services to the police force? This question is meant to establish the duration for which one has worked at the police force.
Which organization did you work for before joining the force? This is to find out the perception of the participant regarding the general work atmosphere.
If you had worked at a particular organization, what was the experience like and why did you leave your former working place? This is to establish the participants attitude of his or her colleagues as well as the seniors.
What is your take on the police force? This is to determine whether the participants are enjoying providing services to the police force.
Would you recommend the police force to someone as an employment opportunity? This is to shed more light on whether the participant is satisfied with the police force as a source of employment.
What are some of the challenges you face in the course of discharging your duties? This is to find out the extent of challenges that the police officers go through.
