I chose the cultural work Death of Cleopatra because of the captivating art of a queen seated still on a throne chair. The cultural work depicts Cleopatra at the moment of her death, and this is something I found very intriguing. Additionally, this cultural work portrays the period of 30 BCE because Cleopatra is wearing royal attire. Her gown reflects a period when queen and royalty existed. Furthermore, the type of shoes and ornamental headband she is also wearing aid in reflecting that she is royalty. One specific element that relates to the element of culture is the identical sphinx heads. The sphinx heads are mainly associated with Egyptian culture (Aguilar, 2021). Culturally, the identical sphinx heads would depict a spiritual guardian, and in this case, they represent the twins she bore with Roman general Marc Antony,
