Evaluation is a review of any plan to find out ways in which it can be improved. Data collection methods as well as the collected data need to be analysed to measure the viability of the plan. In that light, the paper will address how the project objectives will be achieved and recommendations for future projects. In measuring the success of a project, various methods such as analyzing the collected data are used. From the data, conclusions and future recommendations for the project are made.
Data Collection Methods
The project used questionnaires and checklists to collect data because of the flexibilities and ease in data collection. Questionnaires provide the researcher with the abilities to collect large quantities of data from a large sample within a short time and less costly. Additionally, data from questionnaires is easy to quantify using both manual and analytical software. This makes the determination of change easy based on data comparison. The use of checklists makes the assessment of situations and other hazards easier, thus helping in decision making on how the hospital environment can be improved to ensure patient safety. Consequently, checklists can be integrated into hospital routines hence enhancing the identification of the problems at the hospital. Questionnaires and checklists enable data collection based on the problem within the hospital. The collected data can be compared from previous studies.
Measuring Success
The success of the study is if the results are positive (Chan & Woo, 2010). In this case, positive results will be an improvement in patient safety while at the hospital facilities. This was measured by analyzing the collected data during the project period, which was later compared to previous results before the project was implemented.
