Question 1.
All the authors share an affiliation with the NYU Langone Comprehensive Program on Obesity and bring unique contributions to the research study from their equally diverse professional experiences. Robert Hammond’s previous contribution to the journal article Improving Conservation Techniques Through Graph Theoretic Models showcases his experience in data curation and thus enhancing both the accuracy and authenticity of the research study findings. The article is an April 22nd publication by the PLoS ONE journal dealing with one of the current health care problems challenging the healthcare sector as a whole. The journal seeks to accelerate the accessibility of the research study findings to all the interested members across the wide range of disciplines. The article recognizes these facts and the inefficacy of existing interventional measures that seem to miss out on the underlying factors contributing to the increased cases of both childhood and adulthood obesity. The research model’s higher ability to predict obesity witnessed by the 81.7% and 76.1% score in Area Under the Receiver Operator Characteristic Curve (AUC) for girls and boys respectively expands the study’s research scope on the risk factors for childhood obesity. The model is more effective in predicting childhood obesity and thus integral to curbing obesity and its adverse effects on patients.
