In this discussion, you will report on the interpretation of a research findings in the article attached.
Note: All references use should be APA 7th edition and not more than 5 years old.
1. Evaluate the discussion section of the article attached and identify if the following was addressed. (Note, you need to show evidence, do not just say yes or no. Post what the researcher indicated that supports that these elements were addressed in the discussion section. Add the page number where you found them)
a) limitations and strengths of the study variable(s)
b)hypothesis(es)/research questions
c) theoretical framework
d) design
e) sample
f) data collection procedures
g) data analysis
h)generalizations
i)conclusions
j)recommendations for future research
2. After reviewing and evaluating the "Discussion" section of the article, discuss the strength of the evidence supports a change in current practice (If you think it does, support your answer with evidence based literature. You describe what the article indicated and find another source to support why the strength of evidence support a change in current practice).
3. What is your cosmic question? (This should be based on chapter of the week. Pose a research question on discussion section of a research)

Interpretation of Research Findings
In the article, Pilot Testing Okay with Asthma: An Online Asthma Intervention for School-Age Children, the following elements of the study were addressed:
Limitations and strengths of the study variable(s)
The author stated that a limitation of the study is that some participants find the knowledge tool challenging, however, this was used because it is the most commonly used tool in past asthma studies involving pediatric patients. This challenge led to the investigator reading the items aloud and explaining them to the participant, so their response can be recorded (Wyatt & Hauenstein, 2008, p. 149). The strengths of the study include the involvement of peers, family, and school in asthma management, promoting psychosocial strategies in the program (Wyatt & Hauenstein, 2008, p. 148).
Hypothesis(es)/research questions
The research question by Wyatt & Hauenstein is “What are the effects of Okay With Asthma on asthma knowledge and attitude among school-age children?” (2008, p. 145).
Theoretical framework
The program, Okay With Asthma is used to encourage children to be involved in their asthma management. This uses modern, interactive, multimedia methods to help manage chronic illnesses present in children, such as asthma (Wyatt & Hauenstein, 2008, p. 145).
Design
The research design is a one-group pre-test post-test quasi-experimental design (Wyatt & Hauenstein, 2008, p. 145).
Sample
The sample used in the pilot testing is 35 children classified to have moderate to severe asthma (Wyatt & Hauenstein, 2008, p. 145).
Data collection procedure
Before data collection, the parental/caregiver consent and the child’s assent were taken by the investigator. Data such as the participant’s learning preferences, family structure, access to a computer, present asthma care, number of years since asthma diagnosis, and demographics namely, age, gender, and race. These were taken to identify possible factors that may influence the results (Wyatt & Hauenstein, 2008, p. 147). Data collection lasted for 10 weeks in the computer laboratories of public schools, during school or after school hours. The children have to take and complete the pretests, the Okay With Asthma program, and the posttests. The pretests and the Okay With Asthma progr...
