Experiment Summary
Article: Dietary fat drives whole-body insulin resistance and promotes intestinal inflammation independent of body weight gain.
The experiment evaluates if the intake of high-fat diets causes problems of glucose hemostasis. Weight gains are not easy to handle with rare intakes of glucose as people fail to have tolerant bodies to the consumption of glucose (Jansen, Nielsen & Risis, 2016). The findings indicate that consumption of glucose affects insulin homeostasis and result in inflammatory responses in the body.
The research was an actual experiment with the testing of mice under different conditions. Some mice, taking in more glucose than the others, were to determine changes in insulin reactivity (Jansen, Nielsen & Risis, 2016). The design was a correlational comparison of one group of mice to another group that was a key determinant in conclusion. The two groups were in different conditions of large insulin intake and compared well to bring the results.
The experiment was set in a laboratory where mice fed on glucose for around eight weeks to determine what would happen to their insulin activities. Sampling method was uniform as the two groups of mice were in similar conditions for long. The results and comparisons would come out as the careful analysis of the two cases. The variables the researchers were looking for are the tolerance tests (Jansen, Nielsen & Risis, 2016). The concrete results of the measure were the gut microbiota through rDNA decisive tests. Major observations were in skeletal muscles in the bodies of the mice. Da...
